Google has removed more than two dozen apps from its Android Marketplace after revelations from a third party security company that the apps in question harvested user data & sent it back to servers for hackers to exploit. It is believed that over 120,00 users have installed the offending apps, those apps will automatically be removed from the users handsets following Google’s action. Some of the apps havest data from both sent & received text message, a brief list of the offending apps are: Hot Girls 1, Floating Image Free, System Monitor, Quick Photo Grid, and Quick SMS Backup.
