Here at Aamicus Computers, we like to stay ahead of technology. This enables us to not only know what we are talking about but also allows us to advise our clients about ground breaking money saving developments. However on this occasion we feel we have been a little slow to pick up on this new development whilst we were running a routine asset management report for a client, We found ourselves in the I.T. Graveyard (every company has one, where the old computers get relegated to, just in case they need to be used again) running through the inventory and having a little clear out when we stumbled across what we believe the world has missed out on! I am hoping the guys and girls at Sony are reading this quaking in their boots! as well as Microsoft with your HD-DVD, I personally don’t think it stands a chance against this technology. Now please understand that this is a post born of excitement, I have literary just found this technology and I do need to investigate this further but it is my understanding that these small square storage devices will hold twice the amount of HD as a standard HD storage medium, this could mean up to 100Gb per disk (based on a Bluray double layer being 25Gb per layer) I am off to test and explore the possibilities of this exciting new storage medium and you can be sure that I will report my findings!
