Google releases fix for Android data leak

Google has release a security fix for its Android platform following the data leak that has been discovered, the fix forces all communication with Google’s servers to be encrypted. Google has released a statement stating that end users will not have to do anything & the fix will automatically applied to the devices affected.

Apple designs even smaller sim card

Apple has developed an even smaller sim card, they are hoping to have the designed approved by the European standards body ETSI. A smaller sim would allow Apple to pack even more components inside the iPhones, however small sims could be irrelevant if Apple gets its own way with operator-independent SIMs.

San Francisco Network Admin fined $1.5m

San Francisco Network Admin has been ordered to pay $1.5m & sentenced to four years in prison for bringing down the city’s fibre network for 12 days. Terry Childs refused to hand over password that connected 60% of the network traffic for city departments, the city claims Childs actions cost the city $900,000.
